interlift 2015: Leading international trade fair with new record figures
Augsburg – interlift 2015 was the most successful interlift so far since it made its debut in 1991. First of all, there were the three new record figures, with 540 exhibitors, 20,440 visitors and an exhibition area of 42,500 m² booked. In addition, the trade fair has become more international in its nature: the exhibitors were from 43 countries, the visitors from 97 countries – in each case a new record! The companies taking part also achieved what are the best results so far: 90%* rated their participation as “very good” “good”, or “satisfactory”. 91% of the exhibitors expected “very good” to “satisfactory” follow-up business. The representative survey by Gelszus Messe-Marktforschung [Gelszus Trade Fair Market Research] in Dortmund revealed an equally good rating by the visitors. For over 90%, interlift is the “world’s leading” trade fair in the sector, which shows the “complete range” and the “latest technologies” and over and above this, takes visitor service seriously. This assessment is particularly valuable; at the end of the day it comes from competent lift experts: 85% of visitors are involved as decision-makers in investment decisions!

In the 25 years since its debut the exhibition area occupied by interlift has more than quadrupled. The hall capacities at the Messe Augsburg have also significantly increased in previous years – from a qualitative perspective too. Today, the third largest trade fair venue in Bavaria is presenting itself as a state-of-the-art, reasonably priced location, and one which for interlift is very much tried and tested. The planned further expansion of the trade fair envisages, for 2019, includes a new, significantly larger exhibition hall 2. Due to the expected growth of interlift a further temporary hall next to the Cube will be occupied in 2017. It will be incorporated into the tour by means of Hall 3.
Start-up of trade fair preparations: hall planning in August 2016
There’s no time for interlift organiser AFAG to take a break; preparations for interlift 2017 are already long since underway. Already, in February 2016 the documents for exhibitors will be sent out, they are available for download from www.interlift.de. All potential exhibitors please note: the layout planning of the trade fair halls by the project management will already be happening in August 2016; applications should have been submitted to the project management by that point at the latest so that desired placements can be taken into account where possible.
In February, the worldwide promotion of interlift 2017 also started. In the course of this, project manager Joachim Kalsdorf from organiser AFAG, together with representatives from the professional sponsor VFA-Interlift e.V., will present interlift at all relevant lift trade fairs. This offers a good opportunity for an initial contact about participation in interlift – says Joachim Kalsdorf: “At these national lift trade fairs we visit our exhibitors but naturally we are also available to interested companies for consultations.” (For dates, see www.interlift.de)
VFA-Forum interlift ´17
Continually increasing amounts of attendees confirm the high esteem that is accorded to the VFA-Forum. In 2015 every tenth visitor already took advantage of this opportunity for high-powered further education: more than 2,000 attendees were counted. Again in 2017 the VFA-Interlift e.V. will be offering its internationally recognised knowledge platform with contributions from all over the world on the latest topics to interest the sector. The call for papers for next year will be mailed at the beginning of September 2016.
